My name is Sisi Li, ECE-IT, M.Ed. I am the director of IC Early Learning Center. I was a teacher in China and have been an early childhood educator in Canada since 2019.
I know that each child must feel loved, valued, respected, and supported in order to achieve and thrive. Children have a right to participate in their learning actively and must be empowered to express their views and ideas. A child’s opinion must be valued for its validity to their perspective, and their autonomy and initiative must be respected. I want to empower children and assist them to make choices that encourage success and positive self-esteem. I love working with children and seeing their eyes light up when they discover something new.
I want to put my philosophy into practice and provide high-quality childcare service to the community, which is why I started building my own daycare—IC Early Learning Center.
I have a daughter preschooler who keeps me very busy with various activities. I enjoy exercising at the gym and doing outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and going on road trips in a camper. We love our neighborhood, participate in community service, and volunteer. We love working in our garden and enjoy the happiness of harvest.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak with me in person or via email.
