Sisi Li-Director

My name is Sisi Li, ECE-IT, M.Ed. I am the director of IC Early Learning Center. I was a teacher in China and have been an early childhood educator in Canada since 2019.

I know that each child must feel loved, valued, respected, and supported in order to achieve and thrive. Children have a right to participate in their learning actively and must be empowered to express their views and ideas. A child’s opinion must be valued for its validity to their perspective, and their autonomy and initiative must be respected. I want to empower children and assist them to make choices that encourage success and positive self-esteem. I love working with children and seeing their eyes light up when they discover something new.

I want to put my philosophy into practice and provide high-quality childcare service to the community, which is why I started building my own daycare—IC Early Learning Center.

I have a daughter preschooler who keeps me very busy with various activities. I enjoy exercising at the gym and doing outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and going on road trips in a camper. We love our neighborhood, participate in community service, and volunteer. We love working in our garden and enjoy the happiness of harvest.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak with me in person or via email.

My passion is to help individual child embrace their inquisitiveness and creativity through play-based and natural play-learning environments and activities.

I believe that children learn best through hands-on activities. I try to provide opportunities for children to engage in meaningful and purposeful activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth.

I will do my best to support every child because they deserve a high-quality education that prepares them for success in school and life. In my spare time, I have been volunteering, drawing, reading books, variety of sports. I am always happy to meet all of you.

Hello, my name is Nancy. I graduated from Vancouver Career College in the Early Childhood Education program in 2020.

Before I took the ECE program, I volunteered for five months at Royal Child Daycare in New Westminster. I chose the ECE program because I love children so much, and being an ECE teacher makes me feel really proud. I want to play, learn, and grow up with children.

I have 3 years of working experience in 3-5 programs. While I was still in school, I was a substitute teacher at Three Bears Daycare. I really enjoyed working with children.

I look forward to meeting lovely children in the center and having a great time with the team, too.

Anna Park-ECE-IT Teacher of Sardis B

Hello, My name is Anna Park.

I'm glad to be an ECE teacher in the IC Learning Center.

I majored in design, and I love children, so I planned and ran a local children's art development program at an illustration school. We carried out a project where we explored the neighborhood with children and made a map by drawing the neighborhood that the children remembered and drew. Moreover, I have experience working at a preschool children's art academy. I had a mural project with school age children as volunteers. I have experience working at BC Children's Hospital and volunteered at a cathedral nursery.

Children are capable in their uniqueness, creative, and full of potential. I believe that they can develop effectively in a play learning environment.I would like to do my best to support children and grow together so that they can grow as children.

I like drawing, sometimes learn jiu-jitsu, and enjoy riding a bicycle. I will become an ECE teacher who builds healthy relationships with children.

Harleen ( Manager)

Name

I'm Harleen Kaur, an experienced educator with over 7 years working in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Infant Toddler (IT), and Special Needs (SN) programs. I’ve had the privilege of working across both profit and nonprofit organizations, where I’ve developed a strong commitment to child-led learning and student-centered teaching practices.

I strive to empower young learners through inquiry-based, hands-on experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking from the very beginning of their developmental journey.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy going to Pilates, discovering new cafés, and spending time at the beach. These moments help me stay grounded and bring renewed energy to my work.

As an educator, I’m deeply committed to ongoing growth—both for myself and the children I support—so that every day becomes a meaningful step in the lifelong journey of learning
